Abel Maxwell
Abel Maxwell, singer-songwriter, best-selling author and entrepreneur raised in West Africa, France and the Netherlands, based in Toronto, is passionate about bridging cultural divides and promoting intercultural learning.
After leaving Lyon to move to Canada in 2007, he moved from corporate finance to pursuing his passion for music and entrepreneurship, co-founding the recording label BODB Entertainment and consulting firm AM International.
He has released five albums and performed around the world with music focused on youth empowerment, leadership and cross-cultural understanding, earning him grants and international recognition.
Additionally, he co-wrote a best-selling book with Brian Tracy and has received numerous awards (including the UNESCO Community Merit Award) and honors for his contribution to the arts and multiculturalism.
Abel's remarkable work has received widespread media coverage, accolades and recognition from organizations such as the International Association of Parliamentarians of La Francophonie, which awarded him the prestigious Ordre de la Pléiade.
On March 20, 2024, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario officially bestowed this honor on him, highlighting his significant impact on Canadian society and beyond.
